Over the course of your life, you're bound to pick up some habits that you don't share with everyone. Upon living as closely with someone as a spouse, some people realized that some of the things they considered everyday practices were odd habits from their partner's perspective. These people all shared some of the habits that surprised their spouses.

We all had favorite snacks when we were kids. Some snacks are concoctions you find so tasty, you carry them into adulthood as well. Plenty of people have nicknames for body parts. For instance, it's pretty common for kids to refer to their stomachs as their "tummy." In another instance of related words, this person's mother used to refer to their teeth as "fangs." So, they didn't think much of it when they said this. As for their partner who hadn't grown up hearing the phrase, they were a bit startled by the wording.

This family had a different approach and this person eventually realized it wasn't a common nickname outside of their family.
